The Gila County Sheriff's Posse mission is to empower individuals to make positive changes to their communities through assisting GCSO with assigned duties. Also aiding charitable organizations with time and financial commitments.
Hashknife Event
Many thanks to Payson Police Department for the invitation to participate in the outstanding event. Turnout was great and lots of folks enjoyed the afternoon. Kids of all ages met riders and horses for autographs and pictures. Thank you to the participating Posse members for representing us during this event!

Community Emergency
Response Team
"CERT"
CERT is deployed by the Gila County Sheriff’s Office to support first responders with radio communications, emergency medical operations, triage, fire safety, disaster psychology, and search and rescue. CERT also provides traffic control at local events like the Payson Fourth of July celebration, and Trunk or Treat.
